NEBOJŠA BUHIN – NEBO

     Croatian-born guitarist, compose & plays instrumental music, combining pop rock with blues & jazz. Main guitar influences: Eric Clapton, Michael Landau, Robben Ford, Tommy Emmanuel, Stevie Ray Vaughan...

     Nebo is born 1971. in Bjelovar, Croatia. He got his first guitar from a friend in 1984. Although without formal musical education he started playing guitar in Bjelovar Big Band in 1990. From Big Band soon emerges septet Sigma Jazz Band and the band wins first price on "Spring jazz festival competition" in Zagreb, Croatia in 1992. Next few years Nebo played in variety of bands, in many occasions changing guitar with the bass.

     From 1998-1999. Nebo is playing guitar for the most popular Croatian pop female singer Danijela (5th in “Eurosong 98”); more than 120 concerts, including TV recordings with orchestra etc.

     1999. First promo CD called “Babe” is recorded; includes 4 instrumental tracks. Same year Nebo moves to Hamburg (Germany) where he works as a studio musician, recording mostly for Eddy Christoffer´s “Adagio Productions”. Collection of songs they made together now is available on CD called “Signs” (2003.). From year 2000. Nebo plays guitar for German singer Inusa (“Morning Light”,”Café Del Mar 9.”…). Nebo played on his latest CD “Pharaoh style”.

     Album “ 10 Guitar Stories”, is a second instrumental CD from Nebo, and the first one released for 2nd major record company in Croatia, “Dallas Records”. Producer of CD was Gojko Tomljanović, who also played all keyboards. The accompanying band called “The Downstrokes” is assembled from some of the best Croatian musicians, including Damir Šomen – drums, Alen Svetopetrić – bass, Borna Šercar – percussion. CD "10 Guitar Stories" is released in December 2003. Contains 10 instrumental tracks (including cover version of S. Winwood's “Cant find my way home”), blending moody pop- rock feel, with blues'y acoustic and electric guitars. Video clip for a song “New shoes” was made, and can be seen on Croatian Television.

Nebo received “Status Award” as the “most prominent musician – guitarist – in the category pop, rock music for Year 2003.”
